As a class we took a trip down to London visiting the Royal College of Art; Victoria and Albert Museum and the Serpentine Pavillion.

There were many things to see especially because we went in the mmiddle of The London Design Festival.

The serpentine pavillion is always a nice thing to go see every year. This year (year 15) a spanish couple (selgascano) designed a beautiful insallation which plays with the light in a childlike fashion. The brightly coloured ribbon and material covering the metal structure filtered the light creating pastel mosaic patterns on the inner floor.

Seeing as we were close by and the Serpentine Gallery itself was closed we decided to go and see the Zaha Hadid structure (which was a pavillion, now made resaurant). An elegant design which is simmilar to the aquatics center in the Olympic park. The way the inner stems funnel the light show casing the sophisticate modern design that is The Magazine Resaurant.

Growing up in London as an art student and a budding designeer I have

visited the V&A a lot. The permanent Exhibitions are set in a classic story telling way in wich the observer travels around the world through time. During my visit there was a temporary exhibition on Shoes:Pleasure and Pain (open till 31st Jan 2016) Shows the extremes of shoe design from all over the world.

The Royal College of art is a school which is only for mature students moving on to study at PhD or MA level. They're degree show was based on sustainability. I definitely recomment to go see what these budding new designers and artists have in mind for our future. One of my favourites from the show was William Darrel's Aurora Flower in the Turbodrome. Darrel Creates a film in which he become electricity. (He travelled up to he winidest place in scottland, attatches wind turbines on his arms and generates lighting.
